All you ever needed to know about Twitter Vote Report

The other day I wrote about how the folks at TwitterVoteReport.com have set up a system to allow voters to "tweet" any problems they observe while voting. Many bells and whistles have been added since last week, including a downloadable iphone application and the video below that explains how it all works.

Having a way for people to report their experiences on the ground is all the more important here in Colorado, where Common Cause and other groups have been battling Secretary of State Mike Coffman over his purging of voters from registration rolls.

I'm glad to report that my own experience voting early last Tuesday afternoon went without a hitch. My kids Leo,  nearly four years old, and Anya Rose, 18 months old, and I met up with their dad and my husband at Christ Church United Methodist at 690 Colorado Boulevard. The line was only about three people deep. Leo sat on my lap while I filled out my ballot. After I blacked in my vote for president, he yelled out, "We voted for Barack Obama!" So much for privacy--my "secret" was out. After that we all went off for a celebaratory dinner at Annie's on Colfax. I wish all of you as pleasant a voting experience.
