Report: Tancredo eyes 2010 governor's race

The Hill reported today that U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is “weighing a run for governor in Colorado” and that he had sounded out former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez (who ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2006) about avoiding a primary.
Tancredo, whose failed bid for the GOP presidential nomination focused on the immigration issue, was hailed this week by the fellow Republican seeking to fill his seat, Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman.
"I truly believe if we had more Tom Tancredos in the Congress of the United States, the Republicans would still be in the majority,” said Coffman.

Congressman Tancredo, classic hypocrite
Congressman Tancredo is a hypocrite. Congressman Tom Tancredo has voted AGAINST every piece of legislation that was pro US CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION officers and BORDER PATROL officers. EVERY piece of legislation that would of helped the 2 agencies that try to protect the American Citizens and enforce the existing immigration rules. (even though some of the rules are unpalatable to those that are charged with the enforcement) I just happened to see him on a TV show about 3 or 4 years ago where he told that once he voted on something that was not what the WHITE HOUSE wanted and he and his wife were not invited to the next WHITE HOUSE function. He further said that his wife 'persuaded' him to never do that again so they could go to future WHITE HOUSE functions. Please check out the voting record and see that Congressman Tancredo is not what he appears to be to the many in real life. i assure you it irks the officers seeing him running around on the AZ MEX border wearing a BORDER PATROL hat and then going back to DC and stab the officers in the back with his NO votes. I think that Tancredo would be a breath of fresh air as Governor. Less government and imigration reform is what we need in this state.
Oh and about Mike Coffman
Given how angry people are at Mike Coffman and his handling of our voting rights, I think his political future is probably not worth much more than Tancredo's. Just a thought.

I think he'd have better luck in Utah or Alaska. He's lost all credibility here in Colorado.

I disagree. illegal imigration is out of control in this state and it is time to fix it, Tancredo will do that. The taxes in Colorado are also out of control and Tancredo will fix that also. I think it would be a breath of fresh air if we were lucky enough to have someone like Tom Tancredo as Governor.
