McCain can't have it both ways
Given his experience in Washington, it should have come as no surprise to McCain that the story of a 17-year old child of a right to life vice presidential candidate would be too big for the press to ignore. Success in young parenthood and marriage is tough enough without the hot light of presidential campaign scrutiny.
McCain knew the risks to Palin's family, even if Palin didn’t.
This particular story is a lot less about “life happens,” sexism and privacy and a lot MORE about ambition and lack of judgment, at the expense of two (and in a couple of months, three) kids.
