Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar will second the nomination of fellow Sen. Barack Obama tonight when the Democratic National Convention formally names Obama the party nominee.
The Democratic National Convention Committee has announced the line-up for nominating speeches tonight that will offer both Obama and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton to the convention.
Michael Wilson, a Florida Republican and Air Force medic who served in Iraq, will formally nominate Obama. Salazar and U.S. Reps. Artur Davis, D-Ala., and Debbie Wasserman Shultz, D-Florida, will second the nomination with separate remarks.
Clinton is expected to release her delegates before the roll call vote, but not before Dolores Huerta, a national civil rights leader from California, will make history by making Clinton the first woman to have her name placed in nomination to become president of the United States.
Jordan Apollo Pazell, the third youngest delegate at the convention at age 19 from Utah, will second Clinton's nomination along with Denise Williams Harris, a Clinton campaign volunteer from Syracuse, N.Y.
