Iraq War veteran and political science teacher Eddie Diaz will be using his experience as an Iowa delegate to give high school students back in Perry, Iowa a lesson in politics and economics.
Diaz, 29, a Barack Obama supporter and critic of the War in Iraq, said he will be doing a blog for his class that will include political news as well as tips on how to survive the convention on a budget of $1,100.
He will also be making his views about the war known during the convention.
"I was excited to serve my country, but as time went on over there (Iraq) I believed the premise on which we went to war was completely false, said the Marine veteran.
Diaz said he originally supported Bill Richardson, but it was not tough to switch his allegiance to Obama because of his stance on the war as well as on a number of social issues.
