Nev. Senator gives up DNC seat to campaign at home

State Senator Dina Titus has given up her seat as a superdelegate to the DNC to continue campaigning for a congressional post.

"We just had our primary last week and she wants to keep working in the district and keep that momentum," said spokesman Andrew Stoddard.

Titus is running for the 3rd Congressional seat against incumbent Jon Porter. The district encompasses southern and western suburbs of Las Vegas and farther south in Nevada.

She was pledged to Hillary Clinton. The State Democratic Party will replace her with another superdelegate in time for the convention.
