Democrats this afternoon released a roster of additional speakers scheduled to speak on Aug. 26, the second day of the their national convention.

They include: Convention Co-Chair, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius; Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano; Gov Ted Strickland of Ohio; Gov. Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania; Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. of Pennsylvania; Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts; Gov. Brian Schweitzer of Montana; and Federico Peña, former Mayor of Denver and former secretary of both Energy and Transportation.

As announced Tuesday, Mark Warner, former Governor of Virginia, will deliver the convention’s keynote address on Tuesday evening, and Senator Hillary Clinton, will be the headline prime-time speaker on Tuesday night.

Democratic officials said Sebelius and Napolitano, both early Obama supporters, will speak about Obama’s plans for the economy.

Strickland and Rendell will speak on “how the failed policies of the last eight years have betrayed our values and left an economy out of balance,” party officials said.

Meanwhile, Casey and Patrick will talk about how Obama’s policies have been shaped by the people he has met traveling the country, officials said.

Schweitzer and Peña will speak on Obama’s energy plans and how they will impact people in urban and rural communities, the party said.
