Super D Senator hosts Clinton and Obama

California Super Delegate and Senator Dianne Feinstein's northwestern Washington home was the site of a face to face meeting between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama Thursday, according to the New York Times.

Clinton called Feinstein Thursday asking if she and Obama could meet at her home without press, staff or anyone else.  Around 9 p.m. Thursday Clinton and the presumptive Democratic nominee met for about an hour.

Feinstein set up two chairs facing each other and served water. The meeting, the Senator told the Times, lasted about an hour. Feinstein did not know what was discussed but said she hoped the talk would bring party unity.

“She wants to do everything she can to see the people who voted for her have their voices heard and that’s reflected in credentials, platform. And she wants to have a working relationship with Senator Obama, and I think it’s a very positive thing,” Feinstein told the Times.
