PR favors Clinton

Chelsea Clinton and Michelle Obama campaigned hard in Puerto Rico Wednesday for their respective presidential candidates; mother Hillary Clinton and husband Barack Obama.

Michelle Obama’s first trip to Puerto Rico coincided with Chelsea Clinton’s second trip to the island to push for Hillary Clinton, according to the Associated Press.

Puerto Rico has 55 super delegates up for grabs June 1 and seven super delegates who will cast their votes at the August convention. The June primary is particularly important on the island because it is the only opportunity islanders have to cast a vote in the presidential election. Puerto Rico does not participate in the November general election.

Of Puerto Rico's seven super delegates already a majority have endorsed Clinton.

Puerto Rico’s super delegates are: Celita Arroyo de Roques (uncommitted), Luisette Cabanas (Clinton), Francisco Domenech (Clinton), Kenneth McClintock (Clinton), Roberto L. Prats (Clinton), Eliseo Roques-Arroyo (uncommitted), and Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vila (Obama).
