The first round of Colorado's pledged delegates selected to attend the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver come from a rich mix of backgrounds and are electrified about the party's chances to make American political history, writes Chuck Plunkett.
The Colorado Democratic Party confirmed Monday the 22 delegates chosen from four congressional districts this past weekend: the 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th. The remaining 33 pledged delegates will be decided by this weekend.

Delegates for Colorado
I am not sure where you get a rich mix of backgrounds. Unless you are referring to all of the Congressional Districts as a whole. I was at CD2 and everyone chosen with the exception of alternate was from Boulder County. Also, with the exception of one, they were all Caucausian.
Some from Boulder who withdrew their nomination from the convention, pulled a fast one and endorsed the other 4 "chosen". This left counties such as Eagle and Gilpin and many others out in the cold. I saw no diversity at all. If I wasn't disenfranchised before, I certainly am now. I was very disappointed to see no representation from the other counties. The way that some from Boulder handled it was very poor and elitist.
