Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton won't get any superdelegate boosts out of the Nebraska primary in May.
DNC member Vince Powers had suggested last week that five superdelegates should pledge their support to the winner of the May primary. Nebraska held caucuses in February and Obama won. Powers argued Nebraska is in a unique position to see if primary results will jive with caucus preferences - an issue the two candidates don't agree on.
Powers recommended that the superdelegates give their support to whomever wins the primary. But Nebraska Democratic Party officials nixed Powers' suggestion. Powers and two other Nebraska superdelegates have declared support for Obama and two are undecided.
